Crossdressing - Psychological & Medical Perspective - Part 1 - Definitions

Human behaviour in certain mathematical or psychological models, appears random or unpredictable and can be described as stochastic. In this context, stochasticity can be seen as a broader category that includes behaviors like crossdressing, where the frequency, location, and nature of the act can be variable.

Visibility, on the other hand, is a specific outcome of a stochastic process. When a crossdresser decides to be seen, they are making a non-random choice that is part of their larger, often unpredictable, pattern of behavior.

Psychological Modeling and the Stochastic Nature of Crossdressing In a medical psychological model, a stochastic approach would be useful in understanding and deciphering what visibility stands for because it accounts for the unpredictable nature of a person's behavior over time.

The journey of a male-to-female crossdresser is often not linear or consistent; it can be marked by periods of intense activity followed by "purging" cycles, where the person discards their clothes and accessories due to guilt or shame.

Total Population is the baseline from which all other groups are derived.

Male-to-Female Crossdressing Population group is defined by the stochastic behavior of crossdressing, regardless of whether it's public or private. The act itself is the core of this group.

Internet Population is defined by a specific type of visibility, where the crossdresser is seen online but remains anonymous in their physical life. The act of sharing photos or engaging in online communities is a choice, but the overall pattern of online engagement can still be stochastic.

Population Visible with Face represents a subset of the online population that has chosen a higher degree of visibility. This is a more intentional and planned behavior, yet the decision to be visible at any given time can still be influenced by random, internal or external factors.

Population that Goes Out in Random Spaces represents the highest level of physical visibility, where the crossdresser takes the "stochastic" risk of being seen by the general public in unpredictable environments.
